Hikvision iDS-7216HUHI-M2/X is a powerful and versatile DVR designed for robust surveillance systems requiring high-resolution recording, intelligent analytics, and flexible camera compatibility.

Video Recording: It records video footage from up to 16 analogue HD-TVI/AHD/CVI/CVBS cameras and can also support up to 16 additional IP cameras (up to 32 IP cameras when analogue channels are disabled), with a maximum resolution of 8MP.   

Video Compression: It utilizes efficient H.265 Pro+ compression technology, which significantly reduces bandwidth and storage requirements without compromising video quality.   

High Definition Output: It provides HDMI and VGA outputs for connecting to high-resolution monitors, supporting up to 4K resolution on the HDMI port.   

Storage: It has two SATA interfaces, each supporting a hard disk drive up to 12 TB, providing ample storage for recorded video.

Intelligent Features (AcuSense Technology):

Motion Detection 2.0: This deep learning-based feature can differentiate between humans and vehicles, drastically reducing false alarms triggered by other moving objects like leaves or animals. It supports intelligent search based on object or event type.   

Perimeter Protection: It supports up to 8 channels of advanced perimeter protection, including line crossing and intrusion detection, with intelligent analysis to filter out false alarms.   

Facial Recognition: It can support up to 4 channels of facial recognition for capturing and comparing face pictures. It can store up to 16 face picture libraries.   

AcuSearch Technology: This feature allows for efficient searching of recorded footage based on human or vehicle targets.   

Connectivity and Compatibility:

Five-in-one Input: It adaptively supports five different video signal inputs: HDTVI, AHD, CVI, CVBS, and IP cameras, offering great flexibility in system integration.   

IP Camera Input: It can connect to IP cameras with resolutions up to 8MP.   

Network Connectivity: It has a Gigabit Ethernet port for network connection, supporting protocols like TCP/IP, DHCP, DDNS, and Hik-Connect for remote access.   

Remote Access: Users can remotely view live video, playback recordings, and receive alerts via the Hik-Connect mobile app or iVMS-4200 client software.   

Audio Support: It has audio inputs for connecting microphones and an audio output for speakers. It also supports audio over coaxial cable (AoC) for compatible cameras.   

Multi-stream Recording: It supports dual streaming, allowing for different resolutions and frame rates for recording and remote viewing.   

Synchronous Playback: It supports synchronous playback of up to 16 channels.

USB Ports: It has USB ports for connecting a mouse and external storage devices for video backup.
