Vision EV5-220 1 Way Tap is a high-performance component designed for professional 5-wire IRS multiswitch systems. Part of the trusted V5-EVO range, it is engineered to deliver reliable and efficient signal distribution across small, medium, and large-scale IRS installations.
Built to industry-leading standards, the EV5-EVO series offers excellent low insertion loss, improved cable slope pre-emphasis, and superior linearity, ensuring consistent signal quality throughout the distribution network.
The EV5-220 tap attenuates the signal to the side output by 20dB while minimising losses on the main trunk line. This allows for controlled signal balancing in complex IRS designs.
The system supports DC pass-through on trunk lines up to 2A (shared across IF lines), with switchable DC on H:lo and H:hi tap outputs, providing flexibility for powering active devices within the network.

V5-EVO is designed to be installed using CT100 cable and larger sizes are usually unnecessary if the system is correctly
planned.
V5-EVO taps and splitters are designed with high quality 1.0mm f-female sockets for high surface area contact and maximum
return loss performance. Use only type-100 cable directly on inputs or outputs. For larger cables it is important to use the
correct reducing pin connectors. Consult your cable/connector supplier. Do not force type-125 cable directly into the connectors
as damage will occur.
